Role Overview
The Informatica ETL Developer plays a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining data integration solutions that support the organization’s data platforms and reporting environments. This role is responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple source systems into various target platforms, as well as enhancing and maintaining existing ETL mappings. Working closely with leadership, engineering, and cross-functional teams, the Informatica ETL Developer contributes to the implementation of efficient, scalable, and reliable data integration solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. The role requires strong technical expertise in Informatica and ETL best practices, along with effective communication, time management, and collaboration skills to support successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform data movement processes and advanced ETL development using Informatica, PL/SQL, Oracle Database, SQL, and other technologies.
  • Analyze data structures in existing legacy systems to design ETL processes and data warehouse structures.
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain ETL components for multiple applications.
  • Modify existing ETL mappings and develop new ones from scratch.
  • Plan and conduct Informatica ETL unit and development tests.
  • Develop and manage ETL configurable artifacts (code, configuration files, documentation).
  • Provide data analysis to support project design, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to deliver ETL projects.
  • Follow established standards and best practices and contribute to process improvements.
  • Maintain large-scale, multi-terabyte 24/7 data warehouse applications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing documentation, updates, and recommendations.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all deliverables.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter and other ETL tools.
  • Strong expertise in ETL development and Informatica best practices.
  • Experience with Unix Shell Scripting and SQL.
  • Experience in OLAP environments and data warehouse development lifecycle.
  • Skilled in source systems analysis and extraction from flat files, Oracle, and other heterogeneous data sources.
  • Ability to create complex mappings using various transformations and develop ETL strategies.
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling, repository management, and administration.
  • Performance tuning experience for sources, transformations, targets, mapplets, mappings, worklets, workflows, sessions, and batches.
  • Ability to gather business requirements, define metadata, and support design, development, production, testing, and user training.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
