Role Overview
The Delivery Lead is meant to oversee QA-focused delivery program supporting a mission-critical, legacy.NET application within a financial institution. This role is responsible for ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery across testing, defect management, and release readiness while navigating the complexity of aging systems, regulatory requirements, and multiple stakeholder groups. The ideal candidate blends strong delivery management, hands-on QA leadership, and deep experience with legacy enterprise systems. You will act as the primary point of accountability for QA outcomes, timelines, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery & Program Leadership
- Own end-to-end delivery of QA initiatives for a legacy.NET application, ensuring alignment to scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations.
- Develop and manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and risks for testing-centric workstreams.
- Drive execution across functional, integration, regression, UAT, and release-support testing phases.
- Proactively identify delivery risks related to legacy architecture, data dependencies, environment stability, and tooling limitations.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software delivery, QA leadership
- Proven experience leading QA-centric delivery efforts for large, complex enterprise systems.
- Strong background working with legacy .NET applications (monolithic architectures, batch jobs, integrations, limited test automation).
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments (banking, payments, lending, insurance preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, dependencies, and competing priorities in high-stakes production systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills
- Experience with commercial banking systems, core platforms, or enterprise financial applications.
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or waterfall delivery models in legacy environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD challenges and incremental modernization in older platforms.
- Prior experience working with QA vendors or consulting partners.
