Snowflake Administrator
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Administrator to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience managing Snowflake environments, optimizing queries, and ensuring secure authentication methods. While SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced Administrator certifications are not required, candidates should have at least one.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Snowflake environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Implement and manage Snowflake authentication architectures, including Azure AD, SSO, Multifactor Authentication, and SiteMinder SSO.
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for improved performance.
- Work with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, with GCP experience as a plus.
- Develop automation scripts using Python for enhanced system efficiency.
- Support data governance and compliance best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Snowflake with data pipelines and ETL tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- In-depth understanding of Snowflake features and functionalities.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, with GCP as a plus.
- Knowledge of data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python for automation.
- Experience with data governance and compliance best practices.
- Bonus: Experience with Azure AD B2C.
