Business Analyst/Technical Analyst
Techstra Solutions is seeking a dynamic and skilled Business Analyst to join our team to help developers design Power BI dashboards leveraging Denodo, ThoughtSpot and like tools to drive actionable insights for our business. In this role, you will collaborate with various business units, gather requirements, and provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather requirement that provide insights to stakeholders for data-driven decision-making though Power BI interactive dashboards and reports,
Data Integration: Utilize tools such as Denodo understand and source data from diverse sources, ensuring seamless access to clean and accurate data for reporting and analysis.
Business Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate them into technical specifications.
Data Visualization: Leverage tools such as ThoughtSpot to create self-service, analytics solutions that empower users to explore and analyze data independently.
Data Modeling: Assist in designing and maintaining data models, ensuring the efficient and effective use of data across various platforms.
Stakeholder Communication: Present analysis, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior management.
Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency in all reports and dashboards by validating data sources and testing outputs.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging analytics tools, and technologies, and recommend improvements to enhance data-driven decision-making.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to business users on Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and Denodo, helping them leverage these tools to answer business questions and analyze data effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience in business analysis, with a focus on data analytics and reporting tools.
Proficiency in Power BI, including report creation, dashboard development, DAX, and Power Query.
Familiarity with Denodo or similar data virtualization platforms for data integration and management.
Familiarity with ThoughtSpot or similar tools for data discovery and self-service analytics.
Proficiency with SQL
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in the finance/banking industry is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of Power BI
Experience with other data visualization tools like Tableau or QlikView.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Location: is in Pittsburgh, PA and required to be on site 3 days per week.
