Product Manager – IAM
The Product Manager – Identity & Access Management (IAM) to lead the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of our internal IAM service offerings. Unlike traditional external-facing product roles, this position focuses on internal customers across the enterprise and web access management, ensuring that identity and access services are secure, efficient, and compliant.
The Product Manager will also serve as a Scrum Master, guiding agile ceremonies and ensuring successful delivery of IAM-related initiatives and projects. This role blends product ownership, technical resource management, and agile leadership in a highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management (Internal IAM Services):
Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for internal IAM service offerings.
Gather and prioritize requirements from internal stakeholders (security, IT, compliance, and business teams).
Ensure IAM services align with enterprise security policies, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Measure and report on adoption, performance, and value delivered by IAM solutions.
Scrum Master Responsibilities:
Facilitate agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews).
Remove impediments and foster an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Track delivery progress using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
Coach teams and stakeholders in Agile/Scrum practices to increase maturity and efficiency.
IAM Resource & Project Management:
Oversee provisioning, authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, and identity lifecycle management initiatives.
Coordinate with IAM engineers and architects to ensure effective integration with cloud and on-premises systems.
Manage IAM project delivery, including onboarding/offboarding automation, role-based access control, and privileged access management.
Monitor IAM system performance, compliance, and risk management.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in product management, IT service management, or IAM operations.
3+ years of experience with IAM technologies focused on Web Access Management (WAM) (Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, SailPoint, CyberArk, Ping Identity, etc.).
Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of identity governance, access controls, and regulatory compliance (SOX, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred:
IAM-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Identity & Access Administrator, Okta Certified Professional, SailPoint IdentityNow Engineer).
Experience with identity protocols and automation (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM, API provisioning).
Familiarity with zero trust principles and hybrid identity models.
Prior experience in an internal IT/security platform product role.
