 Role Overview 
The Quality Assurance Associate is to join our technology team at a leading retail bank. This role focuses on testing Java-based applications that process high volumes of document images through complex workflows and integrate with enterprise document imaging systems. The ideal candidate will conduct manual testing efforts and ensure the highest quality standards for mission-critical banking applications.
 Key Responsibilities 
   • Conduct end-to-end manual testing efforts for Java-based applications handling document image processing and                workflow management
    • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for document-centric applications
    • Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across document imaging workflows
    • Test document capture, scanning, indexing, routing, and archival processes
    • Validate integrations with enterprise content management (ECM) and document imaging systems
    • Perform image quality validation including resolution, format conversion, and OCR accuracy testing
    • Test workflow routing logic, business rules, and approval processes for document-based transactions
    • Verify document retrieval, search functionality, and metadata accuracy
    • Lead defect triage sessions and manage defect lifecycle from identification to resolution
    • Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios
    • Coordinate UAT activities with business users and provide testing guidance
    • Mentor and guide junior QA analysts on testing best practices and methodologies
    • Create and maintain test data for various document types and transaction scenarios
    • Perform data validation and reconciliation across systems
    • Document test results, metrics, and quality reports for stakeholders
    • Participate in requirement reviews, design sessions, and sprint planning
    • Support production deployments and post-implementation validation
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement QA best practices

 Required Qualifications 
   • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Testing.
    • Strong experience testing Java-based enterprise applications
    • Proven expertise in manual testing methodologies and test case design
    • Experience testing document imaging systems, workflow applications, or content management platforms
    • Deep understanding of document processing workflows including capture, indexing, routing, and archival
    • Knowledge of common image formats (TIFF, PDF, JPEG, PNG) and image quality standards
    • Experience testing system integrations, APIs, and data flows between applications
    • Strong SQL skills for database querying, data validation, and test data creation
    • Proficiency with defect tracking tools (Jira, ALM, ServiceNow, or similar)
    • Experience with test management tools and test case repositories
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
    • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies
    • Proven ability to lead testing efforts and coordinate with cross-functional teams
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
