Job Overview:
Techstra is seeking an experienced Collibra Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in implementing and configuring the Collibra Cloud Platform, particularly focusing on Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (CDIP) and Collibra Data Quality (CDIQ). This is not a support or post-go-live role—we are looking for professionals with a proven track record of building solutions from the ground up.

You’ll play a key role in the configuration, integration, and strategic deployment of data governance and data quality solutions that drive business insight, data trust, and operational excellence.

Top 5 Responsibilities:
  1. Configure and Customize Collibra CDIP and CDIQ to align with business data governance models.
  2. Migrate metadata and data dictionaries from legacy systems into Collibra.
  3. Develop and implement Data Quality Rules, Scorecards, and Dashboards.
  4. Automate and Schedule CDQ Jobs and maintain robust workflow automation.
  5. Design Integrations between Collibra and other enterprise platforms using APIs or custom scripts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and configure Collibra Cloud features and capabilities across CDIP and CDIQ.
  • Configure source system imports, data dictionaries, business glossaries, and metadata structures.
  • Develop and deploy custom workflows, edge models, and role assignments.
  • Administer user roles, permissions, and implement access/security controls.
  • Build and manage Data Quality Rules and automate CDQ processes.
  • Enable and manage Data Quality Dashboards for real-time data trust insights.
  • Develop and maintain documentation: admin runbooks, user guides, knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with business and data stakeholders to model data entities and define taxonomies.
  • Implement data interoperability with other systems using APIs and custom scripts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Collibra design and development strategy.

Minimum Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra Cloud (CDIP and CDIQ).
  • Proven history of successful Collibra implementation and configuration projects.
  • Experience configuring Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries, and DQ rules.
  • Solid understanding of metadata modeling, data lineage, and data stewardship.
  • Proficient in SQL for data profiling and rule validation.

Preferred / Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with Alation or other metadata management tools.
  • Industry experience in utilities/energy sector.
  • Background in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Java) for API integrations.

Certifications Required:
  • Collibra Certified (e.g., Ranger, Steward, Platform Engineer)
