Role Overview
The Pega Lead Business Architect (LBA) role adds leadership of business-to-technical alignment, solution design for complex payment workflows, requirements translation, guidance and support for technical teams, design reviews, and use of modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance financial operations and dispute management initiatives. Lead Pega LBA with strong banking operations expertise, payment domain depth, and stakeholder leadership experience. 

Creates and leads the functional design and development of Pega-based payment solutions, specifically leveraging Pega Smart Investigate for Payments (PSI). Proposes & designs business workflow solutions to address complex banking operational needs. Prepares functional, operational, and procedural documentation required. Facilitates complex problem resolution between business stakeholders and technical development teams. Provides guidance and support to business analysts and system architects. Reviews user stories, case designs, and functional documentation. Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance payment processing capabilities and operational efficiency. 

Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized banking solutions.

Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with payment processing, clearing cycles, and dispute resolution to ensure they adhere to and support the company's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Required Qualifications/Skills 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ Years of experience preferably in a large banking / financial institution environment, focusing on payment operations and exception workflows.
  • Pega Business Architect (LBA) certification / expertise

  • Pega Smart Investigate for Payments (PSI) framework

  • Pega Infinity v25+ w/Constellation

  • Payment Operations & Exception Management

  • Business Process Analysis and Requirements Gathering

  • Process Improvement

  • Release Management

  • Software Solutions and Design

  • User Experience / Case Design

  • Application Development Life Cycle Familiarity

  • Design and architecture familiarity/experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Banking experience

  • Financial institution experience

  • Understanding regulatory and risk controls (AML, Sanctions screening, clearing regulations)
